I had the pleasure of working with Judy for many years at McClatchy. She is a talented graphic designer and not only does she produce creative work for both print and digital media, but she also is keenly aware of how the design impacts performance. Judy continued to keep up with advertising production standards and best practices and learn new technologies for creating new formats and was interested in the results achieved from her design work during the time we worked together. She was often called upon for advice and training by other designers in our local news markets.
Judy is very easy to work with and fully understands the balance between keeping a clean and high-performance design and meeting the business or client's needs. She did not take requested changes personally and was great at collaborating to find the best end design to meet the business goal. She works quickly and often even ahead of deadlines, keeping pace with quick turnaround schedules, all without cutting corners. She is a genuinely kind and nice person who cares about the people she works with and the impact of the work she is doing!
I've known Judy in her various roles over the years at McClatchy, and Judy shows true talent when it comes to creative design, ad design and overall knowledge of graphics. Probably her biggest wins has been the design and maintenance of an extranet for the entire organization and its companies for creative and advertising standards. This was a highly technical specifications site, and comprehensive of multiple mediums and the particular needs for each of them. Judy was also an indispensable knowledge expert for the content development of several interactive learning courses focusing on good ad design, creative concepts and industry practices for our new hires in the advertising fields. Her skills and talent will be greatly missed at McClatchy and the projects we have collaborated on.
I can easily recommend Judy. When McClatchy introduced new tools or workflow that affected McClatchy newspaper designers, she organized, scheduled and handled the webinar training, which included creating documentation, addressing follow-up questions or accommodating new user training. She worked closely with the Client Success engineering group and the newspaper customers to determine the easiest and most effective workflow possible. Judy routinely fielded questions from some newspaper designers who had little knowledge of routine digital ad design tools. She also was the primary point of contact with a handful of key vendors who provide services for digital ads and regularly was asked to participate by our Business Development group when vetting such vendors. Judy has plenty of experience in both print and digital ad creation and would be an asset to any group.
Judy is a creative and talented designer, that I had the pleasure of working with for almost three years. While working as a product manager, I frequently sought the services of our design team, and Judy was always on the ball with her deliverables. Taking a project from idea to exploration to design to development, then finally to implementation - Judy always remained agile and responsive whether making large change-of-direction modifications, or simple minute adjustments and corrections to teeny, tiny details. Her role with McClatchy as a designer, rich-media specialist and competent subject matter expert, required that she continually present innovative ideas to many different business units within the organization, frequently finding that each group has very different audience(s), goal(s) and/or initiative(s). Judy always delivered. Judy is a gem. Always there to assist, answer questions, put out fires, resolve issues - it doesn't matter, she can handle it. Not only can she handle anything that comes her way but she does so graciously.
I have had the pleasure of working with Judy directly on a multitude of projects since 2012. She has been an asset; a subject matter expert whose depth and breadth of knowledge is impressive. I have seen Judy in action, she has been the ad production liaison between our corporate office and our many ad production teams for years. She has fought the fires that come with working in a cutting edge technological field including dramatic technology changes with very short notice and disseminated that information across many teams clearly and accurately time and time again.

I have known Judy for the last few years as a staff on our client side. She has strong knowledge in digital display advertising, especially Rich Media. We have had the opportunity to work together on developing new Rich Media solutions as well as on other technical projects.
It is a great experience working with her, her grasp on the subject made it a lot easier to collaborate and deliver better solutions. She is a good digital designer with great eye for detail.
